Festival Prizes

The jury, consisting of academics working on Japan and film and documentary specialists, will award two types of prizes, corresponding to the two worlds –film and the social sciences– effecting an interchange to which “Fenêtres sur le Japon” (Windows on Japan) intends to contribute. The Jury’s Grand Prix will reward the film the jury considers the most accomplished and original, both for its subject matter and for its cinematography. The Prize for ethnographic film rewards the work the jury chooses to select for its contribution to debates and analyses in the social sciences. The jury will preselect 4 or 5 full-length films among entries to be shown during the festival.
